KAMPALA, Uganda. Uganda government has sent a congratulatory message to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on the occasion to mark the 101st anniversary of the declaration of the Turkish Republic.
Uganda minister of State for Trade, Industry and Cooperatives David Bahati delivered the congratulatory message at a reception hosted by the Turkish ambassador to Uganda Fatih Ak, attended by Minister of State for Defence (Veteran Affairs), Huda Oleru, Minister of State for Works and Transport, Musa Ecweru, Minister for Kampala Capital City and Metropolitan Affairs, Minsa Kabanda, officials from the government of Uganda, representatives of foreign missions, Turkish state Aid agency country representative Murat Çetin among others.
Bahati urged members of the Turkish business community to visit Uganda and invest in available various sectors including agriculture, mining, education among others.
He reiterated that Uganda government gives free land in industrial parks, fully serviced with electricity, water, tarmac roads, high-speed internet, industrial waste treatment plants, and tax holiday, among other incentives.
Turkish Ambassador to Uganda Fatih Ak paid tribute to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the modern Turkish republic.
He said that Türkiye holds firmly the historical values of the nation’s founder, for the country to continue prospering in peace and tranquility for generations to come.
