The fourth edition of Türkiye-Africa Business and Economic Forum, #TABEF kicked off today in Istanbul Congress Centre (ICC), Türkiye.
Hosted by the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye, in coordination with the African Union and organized by and organized by the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK), the two-day event, starting on Thursday, is hosting high-level representatives from several countries and 3,900 African and Turkish business people
Erhan GÖKÇE, Commercial Counsellor at the Embassy of the republic of Türkiye in Uganda is attending with a delegation of more than 30 business people and companies from the East African Country.
According to Erhan, In 2022 Türkiye’s exports to Uganda reached USD 64 million, while Uganda’s exports to Türkiye reached USD 30 million.
Türkiye’s total trade volume with the African continent reached $40.7 billion last year, the target for the total trade volume in the African continent by the end of 2023 is $50 billion, with a subsequent goal of reaching $75 billion, according to Türkiye’s trade ministry.
Türkiye is actively enhancing its economic relations with African countries under the principle of win-win as a crucial strategic partner for Africa’s integration, economic development, and industrial growth.
